| The new EM Nickel Sorter has been successfully commissioned and tested at Consolidated Minerals’ Kambalda operations. The sorter uses field proven technology with some innovative adaptations to accurately sort Nickel Sulphide and other Ores.
The new system works on a basis of measuring changes in the fields generated by a matrix of very high frequency coils. This new patented technology means that these new machines can now sort Ores that are amenable to electromagnetic detection in a random stream, thus significantly increasing feed rates through each machine. These machines can now sort material at down to 6mm.
The machine has proved to be successful on ROM, Dumps and on Smelter slag. Valuable metals can now be recovered from the many dumps, slag heaps and low yield deposits around the world.
This series of high speed machines is designed for simple operation and for use in remote areas. The electronics, optical and electromagnetic systems are reliable, fast and easy to maintain. |
